Where is the Conditional Formatting option in InfoPath 2010?

by Andy on May 19th, 2010

Are you wondering where is the Conditional Formatting option in Infopath 2010? It used to be in the properties window for a field or section, but now the button has been removed.

Answer: Select the control > The “Control Properties” tab should light up and you should see “Manage Rules” > Click the New button on Manage Rules and select Formatting

What’s New in InfoPath 2010?

by Andy on November 20th, 2009

Being an InfoPath Developer I am often very frustrated with the restrictions of which controls and functionality cannot be rendered within InfoPath 2007 browser forms.

InfoPath 2010 finally seems to address many of these issues. For example, controls and functionality that are now supported in browser forms include: Bulleted, numbered, and plain lists, multiple selection list boxes, Combo boxes, Choice group and sections, and Filtering functionality.

Other really cool features include new out-of-the-box rules (or quick rules) that allow you to add rules to validate data, format your form, or perform other actions with just a few clicks, and without any code.

I highly recommend reading the Microsoft InfoPath Team Blog ‘What’s New in InfoPath 2010?‘ blog entry. Click here! Why not watch the ‘InfoPath 2010 feature videos‘ too? Click here for that!
